New residence permit

Today we picked up the new residence permit for Elena. Her old one was just valid for a year, so we needed an extension. So nice, the new one is valid for 5 years. So at least until 2013 we have no worries about that anymore!
Actually, in 2 years she'll be able to get a dutch passport (if they don't change the law in the mean time), which would make it easier to travel together to foreign countries.

Sheep...

Today I was driving to the city Apeldoorn when I had to stop because the road was completely full of sheep. They were walking with some shepherds over the road to I don't know where. I know in some countries it's still quite normal to see this, but for me it was an unusual experience to see me and my car completely surrounded by the sheep. :-)

Building of the new house started

After talking, and waiting, and following procedures for 5 years, finally the building of our new house has started. The constructing company is now busy with the foundations.
More pics are now in my photo album and probably more pictures of the building process will show up in the near future. :-)

Movie civil marriage online

I just uploaded a short movie with our civil marriage. You can see it here. We were just the two of us on our civil marriage, because the guest were arriving in Kiev a few days later for our marriage day in church with the party afterwards. Because of that we had the simple wedding ceremony. And it was short: 3 minutes and 4 seconds, and we were married!
